Most people don’t have the balls to go after their dreams or goals and so they put down those who do. They use ‘criticism’ and being a ‘realist’ as veils to hide behind but in reality they are cowards. They don’t take responsibility or accountability for not achieving their goals.- Layne Norton
The obstacle itself is not enough to stop you. What stops you is your assumption that you can’t get past that obstacle. The problem is not that you have too much of this or too little of that. The problem is, you’re waiting for perfect conditions that will never come.
The achievement that really happens, happens in the real world. The things that get done, get done in less than ideal conditions. Don’t make excuses for why you can’t get it done. Focus on all the reasons why you must make it happen.
There will always be challenges. And there will always be something you can do to get beyond each one. Listen closely, and hear that your dreams are calling you. Feel their pull, feel their positive power, and do what it takes to make them real.
What you need, others need as well. What you desire, so do others desire too. Following your dreams is not greedy. Pursuing your most deeply held desires is not selfish, for in so doing you also serve to fulfill the dreams and desires of those around you.
What you do to make yourself the best you can be will benefit others, most likely even more than it benefits you. What you do to serve others will likewise benefit you as well.
When you sincerely examine your desires, you’ll find that you have at least as much, and probably even more desire to give of yourself as to receive. Surely you have yearned to be of use, to make a difference, to express yourself. And how would these be possible if not in the service of others?
Be the best you can be and you make your world the best it can be. Truly make a positive difference and you’ll fulfill your greatest possibilities.
One reason challenge is so valuable is that it forces you beyond the artificial limitations you have set for yourself and maintained for so long.
Is there something you’ve told yourself you cannot do? Is there something you’ve told yourself you’re just no good at? What if you had no choice? What if there was no one else to do it?
Maybe the reason you could never do it is because you’ve never really needed to. Most of the things you tell yourself you cannot do are really things you’ve chosen not to do. The artificial limitations you’ve set for yourself stand firm because you’ve never had an urgent need to go beyond them.
A compelling enough challenge can change that. Find something challenging and meaningful enough to make you forget your doubts and you’ll move on past your old limitations.
What have you told yourself you cannot do? Find a strong enough reason, and not only can you do it, you will.
March to your own beat. Everyone has advice to give, and it’s important to listen, but ultimately, you have to adapt and mold all advice to your own sensibilities. Although it’s not always easy, I try not to be inflexibly dogmatic about what I teach. In many cases, what’s known pales in comparison to the sprawling expanse of the unknown. Over time, you’ll get to know your body better than anyone else, and what some might sell as natural laws should really only be ideas or options to consider.- Alan Aragon, alanaragonblog.com
In the end, it requires just as much effort to live poorly as it does to live richly. And filling your life with richness is a whole lot more fun. As long as you’re going to put in the time and effort to go through the day, doesn’t it make sense to get the very most you can from it?
Most of your perceived limitations are not really limitations at all. They’re simply boundaries that you’ve set for yourself. Have you ever wondered what’s outside those boundaries? Perhaps today would be a good day to find out.
Your expectations do a good job of keeping you in line. What you get from life is just about exactly what you expect. So here’s a powerful suggestion — start expecting more.
You are filled with possibilities and you live in a world full of opportunities. Resolve right now to make the most of it all. You are worth it, you can do it, and you’ll be so glad you did.
Desire is the key to motivation, but it’s the determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal- a commitment to excellence- that will enable you to attain the success you seek.- Mario Andretti

Body image complexes occur in both sexes.
This is a blogging world dominated by a female community. I understand that, I accept it and am okay with it. I also realize that it is your blog and you can post whatever your heart desires. Hell, this is my blog and I post what I want too, but I do try and keep an open mind that I have followers of both sexes. I’m not saying change it, I’m saying know it. I’m not saying you should stop posting pictures of male cover models..
I’m saying realize that you could be promoting a body image complex disorder in males the same way that magazines promote body image complexes to females.
This is real world stuff people.
